Hi guys, awesome to catch up! We’ve been following Matchain since we discovered your explorer last year. First can you give us a high level overview of Matchain - what makes your chain unique amongst other L2s in the space?

Thank you! We position ourselves as the home for all AI dApps. We are a decentralized AI blockchain platform dedicated to providing comprehensive digital identity solutions for all users. By integrating advanced artificial intelligence, Matchain enhances data categorization and user profiling, seamlessly merging social logins from both Web2 and Web3 into a unified digital identity. This empowers individuals with full control over their data, enabling them to own, manage, and monetize it according to their preferences.

MatchID is an interesting concept and one that’s really important as more of our lives move on chain. Privacy and sovereignty are 2 key concepts that your chain addresses. Can you talk more about why these are important, and how MatchID works to solve these issues?

Absolutely! At Matchain, we firmly believe that individuals are the rightful owners of their data. Data sovereignty isn't about keeping your data off the internet. It's about recognizing your data as a valuable asset that you should control and use as you see fit. Therefore, we advocate for storing your data in a decentralized environment that grants you the flexibility and autonomy to manage it, ensuring you remain the true owner with complete access and control.

MatchID serves as a cross-chain/platform and web2/web3 identity aggregator, providing users with comprehensive transparency over their assets, behaviors, and influence. By gaining a deeper understanding of your online and on-chain personas, you can better manage your data and ultimately exercise the right to monetize it.

Our privacy solution is encapsulated in Matchain’s POH. In essence, MatchID functions as a DID equipped with SBTs. We encourage users to complete their Proof of Humanity (PoH) to mint their SBT. Leveraging zero-knowledge technology, PoH facilitates a broad spectrum of credential verifications, including IDs, passports, CEX accounts, etc. Importantly, Matchain does not collect or store any individual’s identity information. Instead, we securely store the proof of authentication on-chain, upholding our commitment to user privacy and data sovereignty.

MatchHub gives users and projects a simplified way to access services through a single login process. This is similar to DAppscout, the Blockscout DApp marketplace where users can sign in with their wallet once and access all DApps. MatchHub takes this process a step further by allowing users to sign in with a DID rather than a wallet address. How does this process work, and are user’s identities tied to their wallets in any way?

That’s right, Match Hub is where we land all our ecosystem projects and partners. In other words, this is an unified front-end platform where users can interact with various dApps and protocols through a single sign-in with their MatchID. Our own interoperable decentralized identity solution - MatchID, enables users to manage a singular identity across various dApps and blockchains while maintaining ownership and control over their data. Users can easily create a MatchID by linking their existing Gmail, Twitter, or Facebook accounts and connecting their wallets.

One thing we’ve noticed is the amazing traction you are already getting on the testnet. You’ve exceeded 170M transactions and 1.7M UAW!  Who is the typical user right now and what kinds of transactions are you seeing?

Yes, we are extremely proud of the significant user engagement. We have become the leading chain in terms of monthly active users, ranked among Top 5 Games on DappRadar and Top 10 Chains in the last 30 days. Currently, our users span over 120 countries, with a strong presence in the Asia-Pacific region.

Getting more into your Blockscout deployment - we’re wondering why you chose Blockscout to support your chain, what features did you find useful when assessing different solutions?

Blockscout incorporates several valuable APIs for tokens and NFTs, enhancing the alignment between blockchain functionality and business needs. The open-source framework is also important to us, so we can work with the Blockscout team to make customizations as needed. We did our own custom deployment, and once we saw the traction Matchain was getting decided to work with Blockscout directly for hosting and maintenance, so our users could get the most out of the explorer and we could focus on building out our solution for privacy and DID.
