3 chains walk into a bar...

Ink, Berachain, and Rootstock walk into a bar.
- Ink says, "I'll take a block explorer. Something dark, smooth, and permanent."
- Berachain says, "Make mine sweet, sticky, and irresistible."
- Rootstock says, "Just give me the classic, one for the OG network."
The bartender raises an eyebrow and says, "Buddy, this is a bar, not a Blockscout launchpad. I only serve exit liquidity."
Bad jokes aside, as the ecosystem expands, the need for tooling that allows for individualized chain customizations while also connecting chains together has never been greater.
Fragmentation of users and liquidity is growing, and interoperability is required to unite users and apps rather than isolating them on blockchain islands. Users want to hop from chain to chain exploring different apps, cultures, promotions and ecosystems. Blockchain infra needs to support this movement in an easy and intuitive way.
Enter Blockscout.
This month we've worked on explorers and DeFi tooling for Ink, Berachain, and Rootstock, among many others. We're excited for the growing ecosystem diversity and finding ways to unite chains through consistent and supportive interfaces.
Case in point, the latest update to Swapscout (powered by Li.Fi) supports all 3 of the chains above to provide seamless swaps and bridging between chains.

Let's dig into some recent updates including new explorer features, chains, partners and grants 👀 👇🏻

1️⃣ Blockscout Features
- v7.0.0 brought many new features to Blockscout along with some breaking changes. Checkout our v7.0 upgrade guide to help you upgrade your instance to the latest version and take advantage of our recent features and optimizations.
- Our new internal transactions page provides visibility into contract-to-contract interactions and details including call types and parent transaction hashes. See it in action at https://optimism.blockscout.com/internal-txs

- L2 -> L1 deposits and withdrawals are vital to track for all rollups, and we've incorporated these views (as well as batches, stylus support and other Arbitrum-based features) into our Arbitrum explorer deployments. Arbitrum Orbit chains continue to thrive, and we are providing transparency and reliability as explorer of choice for new Orbit chains.

2️⃣ Chains & Partners
🐙 Ink is built on Optimism's Superchain, and has been attracting tons of new users and activity with their innovative campaigns. The Blockscout x Ink campaign was an overwhelming success with over 22K Ink Detective Badges minted and thousands of ratings on Ink Dapps...and we're not stopping there! To celebrate Ink landing on Swapscout, users who swap tokens on Ink using Swapscout will earn 2x Merits until the end of March!

🐻 ⛓️ Berachain is seeing daily transaction volume in the millions, and Blockscout is providing support with an explorer and a Dappscout marketplace where you can rate, find, and interact directly with Bera dapps.

🌱 Rootstock is the home of DeFi on Bitcoin. In this case study we detail the customizations and optimizations that went into creating a fast, full-featured explorer for the Rootstock ecosystem.

Moso is a Web3 shopping platform providing crypto rewards and discounts on regular online purchases. Our new collaboration gives you access to discounts + $5 USDC when you redeem your Merits and use Moso! Learn more on the Moso blog post and our recent Twitter spaces with the team.

3️⃣ Grants
As an open-source project, grants are an important source of funding and support for Blockscout and our team of OSS developers.
🌐 The Metis Retroactive Grant Program provides retroactive funding to projects that have already delivered substantial value to the Metis Layer 2 ecosystem. Grants are allocated based on alignment with ecosystem goals, proven adoption and usage within Metis. We were excited and honored to be recognized by the Metis community with a retro grant for work completed on the Metis explorer.

💟 Blockscout has been selected to participate in the ENS x Octant Public Goods Round on Giveth! The round is live now and runs until Wed Apr 2 2025, featuring projects that are focused on serving the blockchain community. Donations are matched generously through QF, providing much needed support. Consider donating to Blockscout and other public goods projects to help give back to the ecosystem you love!
