Out and About with Blockscout

November was a busy month for exploring. Team members attended DevConnect and had a chance to meet with many excellent projects and give several talks on infrastructure and block explorer evolution. It was awesome to see projects like Celo, Arbitrum, Filecoin, Suave and more highlighting Blockscout in their presentations when showing transactions, smart contracts, and other on-chain interactions.

Optimism On-Chain Summit

Two founders (Blockscout's Igor Barinov and Tenderly's Bogdan Habic) discussed all things infrastructure on the main stage at Optimism's On-Chain Summit.

Unwallet Conference

Ulyana presented a lighting talk at the WalletUncon on the evolution of UX in both crypto wallets and blockchain explorers. Check it out!

The Coming Evolution of Blockchain Explorers and Wallets
The crypto world is rapidly evolving, and with it, the tools that users rely on to interact with blockchain data. As blockchain explorers have evolved to meet the demands of web3 users, so too have crypto wallets. This talk will explore the evolution of UX in both crypto wallets and blockchain explo…

ETHAbuDhabi Keynote & Hackathon

Igor gave the opening keynote at ETHAbuDhabi. Blockscout was a hackathon sponsor and projects including Spruce DAO, Dlaunchpad, Shamixx 2.0, WalletSync, CryptoCoffeeCart, and EthVote used Blockscout in their projects to claim a share of the $1000 pool prize. More about participating projects here.

New Instances and Integrations

In November we were excited to announce the new Stability instance and continue working on several new Blockscout EaaS instances coming πŸ”œ. We also added some important integrations that extend data availability for Blockscout users, and Rotki included Blockscout API support to help gather important Ethereum data.

Stability

Stability is the first tokenless public blockchain - no cryptocurrency, no transaction fees required. Stability testnet is now live, with mainnet coming soon. Learn about the integration and visit the Stability testnet at https://stability-testnet.blockscout.com/.

Token Name Service (TKN)

Blockscout is now using Token Name Service, a decentralized token registry, to bring accurate, reliable, and up-to-date token data to all Blockscout users. We encourage projects and users to submit their project information to the Token Name Service dataset! Read more and submit here.

BlockSec & MetaDock

We're working on a native MetaDock integration to bring comprehensive information to blockscout users. We'll keep you updated on this exciting collaboration!

L2Scan

It's important to provide choice and the ability to verify when viewing blockchain transactions. We are working together with L2Scan to add reference links to supported instances (currently zkSync https://zksync.blockscout.com & Base https://base.blockscout.com), giving viewers more options to verify any transaction.

Rotki

Rotki added Blockscout to their interface as an additional data source. If you are a heavy user or an Ethereum staker, get a free API key through Blockscout MyAccount to increase your API limits.

Grants and Support

Gitcoin

Gitcoin Grants Ethereum Infrastructure Round was a success with close to 2500 contributors donating to Blockscout! We received over $1300.00 in individual donations and will receive additional funds from Gitcoin. Thanks again to all who participated to help move Ethereum Infrastructure forward!

Optimism PGF3

Optimism RetroPGF3 will reward contributors to the development and adoption of Optimism with 30 million OP! Blockscout is excited to participate in this round and join the company of so many amazing projects on Optimism. Voting by badgeholders goes until December 7th. Learn more and vote for Blockscout here.
